Asking for holiday
Asking in the app is asking. Nothing is booked until the office says yes.
Your holiday at a glance
The Holiday tab shows how many days you have left this holiday year in big numbers. Under it, a bar shows what you’ve taken and what’s booked still to come, then your allowance, what you’ve taken, what’s booked and what you’ve asked for.
The days-left figure counts the holiday on your timesheets, so it always matches what the office has.
Requesting holiday
- Tap Request holiday at the bottom of the Holiday tab.
- Pick the first and the last day off.
- For a half day, turn on In for the morning on the first day, or Back for the afternoon on the last.
- It counts the days for you, leaving out weekends and bank holidays, and shows what that leaves you.
- Add a note for the office if you like, and tap Send request.
What happens next
Your requests are listed on the Holiday tab as Waiting until the office decides. Approving it puts the days on your timesheet. If it’s declined, you’ll see the reason on the Holiday tab. While it’s still waiting you can Withdraw it.
Cancelling holiday that’s booked
- To cancel the whole booking, press Cancel beside it on the Holiday tab.
- To take one day off it, open that day on My week and remove it with the bin.
Booked more than you’re entitled to
The panel turns red and counts up “over your allowance by” instead of down. It isn’t stopped from happening — some years genuinely run that way — but it’s there so nobody is surprised later. If it looks wrong, check with the office.
Still stuck? Ring the office — there’s nothing in the app that somebody there can’t undo. Or contact us.
