Stay-away nights

One tick for the day, however many shifts you worked. The office pays a set amount for each night.

Ticking a night away

  1. On My week, tap the day. It opens the day’s shifts.
  2. Between the shifts and the materials is Stayed away overnight. Tap it once to switch it on.

It’s once for the day, however many shifts you worked. Your week then shows Stayed away under that day’s jobs.

Changing it

You can switch it on or off until you send the week in, the same as hours. After that it’s locked: if you have one on, it shows with a padlock.

A night missing or wrong after you’ve sent the week? Ask the office. They can tick or clear a night for you, whatever the week’s status.

Why it’s once a day, not once a shift

A night away is about where you slept, not what you worked. Two shifts on two jobs in one day are still one night away from home, so the switch sits on the day, not on a shift. Tick it on the day the job kept you away that night.

What it pays

The office sets the amount a night, and can change it from a date — nights before a change keep the amount they were paid at. You won’t see money anywhere in the app: the nights are paid with your hours, as part of your gross pay.

What the office sees

On the office’s Timesheets board, a week with nights away gets a Nights column beside your hours. A night the office ticked for you is marked as theirs, and every change is recorded with your name and the night.

Still stuck? Ring the office — there’s nothing in the app that somebody there can’t undo. Or contact us.
